Job summary

Google seeks a Leadership Technical Program Manager II for Data Center Demand and Allocation Planning, Machine Learning. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs across data center capacity planning, demand forecasting, and allocation strategies, partnering with engineering, analytics, and product teams.

You will shape long-range planning, drive mid-to-short-term allocation, and advance automated operational excellence while guiding cross-functional teams toward shared goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role with/without direct reports.
  • Experience planning data center infrastructure.
  • Experience using data analytics to derive insights and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of program managers and data analysts.
  • Own and direct the capacity planning for data centers, including scenario planning and trade-off analyses.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align demand, capacity, and infrastructure delivery.
  • Drive data-driven insights to improve planning processes and resource utilization.
  • Communicate plans, risks, and recommendations to executives and engineering partners.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of program managers and data analysts. Set team strategy, foster career development, and scale team operational rhythm.
  • Own and direct the Alphabet-wide TPU and GPU DC plan of record. Lead in-depth capacity modeling, scenario analysis, and trade-off frameworks under tight resource constraints.
  • Serve as cross-DCP lead for ML trade-off decisions, executive escalations, and priority balancing.
  • Drive strategic initiatives for DCP planning & system enhancement and workflow automation in collaboration with engineering partners. Enable scalable planning automation, standardized change-control policies, and improved power/space efficiency across fleets.
  • Lead effort to codify technical and business requirements across Google product areas, bridging demand intent with physical supply execution.
