Job summary

Griffis Residential is launching a 12-month Leadership Development Program (LDP) where associates rotate with Leasing Consultants, Assistant Community Managers, and Community Managers. You will learn sales, customer service, budgeting, forecasting, maintenance, and general management to run a multi-million dollar business.

The program includes travel to multiple Griffis properties, weekend/evening flexibility, and onboarding in June.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree related to operations and/or customer service.
  • Interest in Property Management, Hospitality, or Business Operations and Management.
  • Willingness to travel to support acquisitions in other markets.
  • Ability to travel to Griffis properties locally and across markets.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inquiries and manage resident accounts with community teams.
  • Show apartments to prospective residents and oversee the customer journey.
  • Manage resident relationships and accounts.
  • Shadow Community Managers and learn about capital projects, operating plans and forecasting.
  • Handle day-to-day office tasks including tours, move-ins, and leasing duties.
  • Learn and use leasing/property management software platforms.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects on time.
  • Travel to communities of various sizes for development opportunities.
  • Potentially take on leadership tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work weekends and occasional evenings as needed.

Summary

Over the course of a 12-month program, with 3 rotations, Leadership Development Program (LDP) Associates will work with the company’s Leasing Consultants, Assistant Community Managers, and Community Managers. LDP Associates will learn about sales, customer service, budgeting, pricing, financial forecasting, maintenance, and general management skills necessary to run a multi-million dollar business.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with community teams to answer inquiries and manage resident accounts
  • Show apartments to prospective residents and oversee the customer journey
  • Manage resident relationships and accounts
  • Shadow Community Managers and learn how to manage capital projects, operating plans and financial forecasting, investor and owner reporting, and employee engagement
  • Handle day-to-day office tasks, including answering phones, preparing for tours and move-in’s, and any other leasing responsibilities
  • Learn and utilize multiple online platforms and software tools used in leasing and property management
  • Successfully complete assigned tasks and projects
  • Travel to communities of various sizes to allow for additional development
  • May be assigned leadership opportunities for tasks and projects
  • Flexibility to work weekends and occasional evenings
  • Available to start 12-month program the third week in June
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, related to operations and/or customer service
  • Have an interest inProperty Management, Hospitality, or Business Operations and Management
  • Ability to travel to support new acquisitions in other markets as needed
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Must have reliable transportation since travel is required to various local Griffis properties throughout the program
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service and creating positive guest experiences
  • Proven ability to take ownership of tasks, anticipate needs, and act proactively
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to quickly adjust to new teams, communities, and changing assignments while remaining effective and professional
