Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Leader, Supplier Performance to drive supplier performance improvements for our Wichita operations and related sites. You will lead a team of analysts, develop scorecards, and partner with procurement and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery and contract compliance.

The role requires 15+ years in supplier management, strong data analytics, and exceptional negotiation and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 15+ years of experience in supplier management with focus on performance improvement.
• Strong soft skills and proven record of leading people.
• Experience leading a team of supplier performance analysts and mentoring talent.
• Ability to manage multi‑project priorities and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Advanced data analysis skills to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
• Strong negotiation experience with supplier contracts and issue resolution.
• Proficiency with SAP, LeanDNA, Power BI or Ariba.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and evaluation criteria.
• Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and communicate feedback to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Deploy interventions to improve supplier performance, including corrective action plans and supplier development programs.
• Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to ensure compliance with contracts, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Identify and manage supplier risk across quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align supplier performance with business objectives.
• Maintain records of supplier performance data, improvement initiatives, and risk management activities.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Lead and coach a team of supplier performance analysts.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Develop and implement supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and evaluation criteria to assess supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree, MBA or PMP is preferred.
• You have at least 15 years of experience in supplier management, with a focus on supplier performance management and improvement.
• You hold outstanding set of soft skill and proven record of managing people with empathy and patience.
• You have experience in leading a team of supplier performance analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
• You have experience in multi-tasking complex projects and managing different teams at the same time as well as keeping up with priority and scope changes.
• You hold advanced data analysis skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, develop insights and recommendations, and create actionable reports.
• You hold strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and track supplier performance improvement initiatives.
• You hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with suppliers.
• You have experience in risk management, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate supplier risks.
• You hold strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate supplier contracts and resolve supplier performance issues.
• You hold proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as SAP, LeanDNA, Power BI or Ariba.
• You have a strong commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to drive change and innovation within the organization.
  Pay: $110,700.00 -$158,100.00
