Lake Highland Preparatory School Inc. seeks an Associate Director of Primary Grades to partner with the Director of Lower School, supporting students, teachers, and families in PK–2 and fostering a nurturing, collaborative learning environment aligned with the school’s mission.

The role emphasizes academic and social-emotional growth, instructional support, teacher development, and strong family partnerships, while also supporting daily operations in a full-time, 12-month exempt capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree or international equivalent; at least one advanced degree in early childhood, elementary education, educational leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a lower school.
• Minimum of 3 years of administrative leadership experience preferred.
• Independent school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Lower School to support PK–2 students, teachers, and families.
• Foster a nurturing, collaborative, and mission-aligned learning environment.
• Support student academic and social-emotional growth, instructional practices, and teacher development.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and alignment with school values.
• Assist with daily operations as part of a 12-month, exempt role.
