Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking a Lead Yard Associate to help achieve world-class store performance. The role focuses on organizing products for deliveries and supporting branch strategy while maintaining the overall branch organization.

You will unload incoming trucks, load outbound vehicles, assist customers, and help maintain nursery areas. You’ll also partner with leadership to adopt new technologies to boost business performance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Safety-minded work ethic and reliable team player.
• Customer-facing with readiness to help on the floor.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Green industry familiarity a plus.
• Forklift or heavy equipment experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from incoming trucks.
• Load products into outbound vehicles for customers and the company.
• Replenish or move product at the branch as directed.
• Assist customers with product selection and support.
• Maintain nursery and related care tasks as needed.
• Partner with branch leadership to implement new technologies and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Lead Yard Associate helps to achieve world-class store performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth. They lead by example to organize product for deliveries to job sites and help maintain the overall organization of the branch.

What you’ll do:

• Unload product from incoming trucks.


• Load products into outbound vehicles, both customer and company.


• Replenish or move product at the branch as directed.


• Assist customers with product selection and provide additional support when needed.


• Assist in maintaining nursery product, which may include production, spacing, pruning, fertilization, watering and winter protection.


• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.


• Other duties as assigned.

Skills We Are Seeking

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis


• Must have a safety-minded work ethic


• Must be customer-focused and an enthusiastic, dependable team player


• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working


• Green industry experience and familiarity with landscape, hardscape, nursery, forestry, or irrigation products is a plus


• Experience operating equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or front-end loader also a plus


• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
