Job summary

Vercel Inc. is seeking a People Systems Manager, Workday to lead the architecture, security, and governance of Workday across the People function.

You will own configuration, security models, and business processes, partnering with engineers to extend Workday beyond its native interface while maintaining rigorous controls. You will drive SOX/SOC 2 compliance and build scalable processes that enable payroll, equity, and rewards operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Hands-on Workday HCM across security, processes, reporting, and core configuration.
• Experience building Workday environments with governance and scalable processes.
• Designing Workday security, governance and internal controls for audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own Workday configuration, security architecture, and Business Process Framework.
• Partner with engineers to design business processes and security for transactions via Slack and apps.
• Establish role-based security, segregation of duties, change management and audit controls.
• Configure business processes for core People operations, equity, commissions, and clawbacks.
• Set data governance and reporting architecture to keep Workday as single source of truth.
• Own release management, testing, and changes; support auditors with evidence and remediations.
