Job summary

Deriva Energy, a leading independent power producer in the US renewables market, seeks a Lead Wind Technician at the Notrees Wind Farm in Texas. This full-time role advances the wind classification hierarchy and mentors others while maintaining turbines and BOP systems.

You will lead crews, diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic domains.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 6+ years of related work experience (external candidates).
• Internal candidates require 3+ years of technical experience with DerivaEnergy as a Wind Technician and JPM completions.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews of technicians to complete required duties.
• Interact with customers as directed by the manager.
• Train and mentor employees as directed by the manager.
• Perform operations and maintenance on turbine systems and substations.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across site operations.
• Maintain EH&S documentation and paperwork in Maximo.
