Responsabilidades

• Interface with Site Management and Client/Owner as needed.
• Provide direction to Welding Supervisors, Welding General Foremen and Foreman to support welding initiatives across the project, ensuring first time quality with minimal rework.
• Coordinate with Discipline Superintendents and the Lead Field Welding Engineer to validate manpower and welder qualification requirements.
• Provide direction to Welding Supervisors, Welding General Foremen and Foreman to ensure welders have the required skills for planned tasks and first time quality.
• Review weekly scheduled work plans with discipline superintendents for pipe commodities to ensure welder resources are available with proper qualifications.
• Identify and elevate scheduling concerns to construction management.
• Contribute to weekly production meetings to ensure sufficient welder support is scheduled by area.
• Supervise daily with direct hire and subcontract representatives on pipe construction activities, including fabrication and materials management.
• Ensure welding commodities, equipment, and consumable gases are available and staged.

Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead and represent a workforce services (WFS) team and manage systems and processes for streamlining or optimizing routine tasks or complex workflows. You will lead the design, test, and implementation of new workforce services processes and solutions. Your supervision and technical expertise will guide innovation to increase efficiency and enable continuous improvement. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

• May require interface with Site Management and Client / Owner.
• Provides direction to Welding Superintendents, Welding General Foremen and Foreman as necessary to support welding initiatives across the project, ensuring first time quality with minimal rework.
• Coordinates with Discipline Superintendents and the Lead Field Welding Engineer to validate manpower and welder qualification requirements.
• Provides direction to Welding Superintendents, Welding General Foremen and Foreman as necessary to support welding initiatives across the project, ensuring the welders assigned to each task have the skill sets necessary to satisfactorily provide first time quality with minimal rework.
• Reviews weekly scheduled work plans with discipline superintendents for pipe commodities to ensure the project has the welder resources available with the proper qualifications to support the planned work scopes.
• Ensures that scheduling concerns and constraints are identified and elevated toconstruction management team.
• Provides input to weekly production meetings to ensure sufficient welder support isalso scheduled and available by area.
• Supervises and coordinates daily with direct hire and subcontract representatives on pipe construction activities, included but not limited to fabrication team and materials management team.
• Ensures the welding commodities, equipment, and consumable gases are available and staged in assigned areas.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 10 to 12 years industry experience in welding and welding supervision with a minimum 5 years Bechtel experience. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field welding activities

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Responsible for the cost, schedule and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the overall construction schedule, the 90 day and 3 week look ahead schedules for labor and equipment Inspect site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
• Coordinate safety training in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.
• Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy.
• Ensure that Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.
• Monitor the activities of craft to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
• Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
• Review craft time records using established automated tools.
• Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements Implements and enforcespolicies, procedures and related work rules as established by field constructionmanagement.
