Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in High Point, NC is seeking a Welding Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and supervise all welding activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is completed to specifications, on schedule, and within budget.

You will lead a team of welders, provide training and feedback, monitor weld quality, enforce safety standards, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to address changes and keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years welding experience with industrial sheetmetal focus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship preferred.
• AWS or OSHA welding/safety certifications preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification obtained within the last 5 years is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all welding activities on assigned projects, ensuring they are completed according to specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead and manage a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
• Monitor and inspect welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, other trades, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and address any issues or changes in project scope.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, material usage, and timekeeping.
• Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, providing practical solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continually improve operations and maintain a competitive edge.
