R-V Industries, Inc. in Alaska is seeking a Lead Welder/Fitter to safely prepare alloys for fabrication and welding.

This role combines individual contributor work with people leadership to meet safety, quality, on-time delivery, and budget goals while developing and retaining capable technicians. You will lead welding operations, read blueprints and WPS/ASME requirements, train staff, and support engineering with technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years welding/fitting experience in ASME Code pressure vessels.
• Demonstrated safety awareness in construction/manufacturing.
• Able to read and interpret WPS, QC plans, blueprints, AWS weld symbols.
• Able to operate welding and fabrication equipment and read measuring devices.

Responsabilités

• Lead and engage RVII to achieve safety, quality, on-time delivery, budget and people goals.
• Provide viable solutions and technical support to manufacturing staff and internal customers.
• Assist in interviewing and training new candidates and current employees as needed.
• Facilitate the qualification of new PQR and WPQ.
• Lead the selection and distribution of filler metals and welding consumables.
