Job summary

Social Influence LLC in Manchester, CT is seeking an experienced Lead Web Pressman to oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of commercial web offset presses. You will lead the press crew, ensure print quality, production efficiency, and safety while coordinating with other departments.

The role requires 5+ years in web offset printing, hands-on experience with Goss/Heidelberg/Komori equipment, and strong troubleshooting and color management skills. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial web offset printing experience.
• Experience with Goss, Heidelberg, manroland, Komori, or similar web offset equipment.
• Knowledge of heatset and/or coldset web printing.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and color management skills.
• Previous press leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret job tickets and production specifications.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and oversee multicolor web offset presses.
• Review job tickets, production requirements, materials, plates, and inks.
• Perform press setups and changeovers while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Monitor registration, ink density, color, web tension, and cutoff accuracy.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and print quality issues.
• Train and support Second Pressmen, Roll Tenders, and Press Assistants.
• Coordinate production priorities with other departments.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, roller adjustments, and blanket changes.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow all safety procedures and production standards.

• 1st Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

• 3rd Shift: 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
