Job summary

DJ&A, a multidisciplinary professional services firm, seeks a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Engineer to lead complex water and wastewater projects with 10+ years of experience.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling. Office locations include Missoula, MT; Bozeman, MT; and Denver, CO, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience focused on water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, piping, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software (WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, SewerCAD, EPANET, SWMM), and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical design lead on complex water and wastewater projects.
• Lead project execution strategies to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate engineering work across multiple projects including modeling, analysis, and calculations.
• Prepare contract documents for bidding and construction, and develop reports and specs.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of deliverables.
• Develop engineering reports, feasibility studies, and construction cost estimates.
• Navigate regulatory agencies to meet permitting requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services.
• Support business development with proposals and client meetings.
