Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with a water background for the Treasure Coast region between Palm Bay and Port St. Lucie, FL.

The successful candidate will direct and supervise all jobsite field personnel on water and wastewater treatment plant and line work construction projects. Responsibilities include safety policy administration, quality control, short-term scheduling, permit inspections, field documentation, material handling, subcontract coordination,

Qualifications

• Must have experience supervising projects in the water or wastewater industry.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the project to maintain a safe workplace and administer safety policy.
• Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Short-term scheduling including manpower and equipment resources.
• Coordinate permit and regulatory inspections.
• Field document control including daily reports.
• Take progress photographs.
• Material handling and inventory management.
• Subcontract coordination and jobsite hiring as required.
• As-Built drawings.
• Participate in post-construction review.
• Small tool management.
• Knowledge of contract documents.
• Maintain jobsite security.
• Complete each project within time and budget.
• Accurate quantity reporting and time keeping.
• Identify and communicate all changes in scope to Project Manager.
• Maintain a clean and orderly jobsite.
