City of Auburn, AL seeks a Chief Water Plant Operator to supervise and manage the water treatment plant, pumping facilities, and sampling across the distribution system. The role reports to the Water Plant Manager and requires leadership of plant personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, 5–8 years of experience, and an Alabama Grade IV license or ability to obtain one. Strong knowledge of water treatment, regulatory compliance, and public service is essential.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5–8 years' experience or equivalent.
• Alabama Grade IV water license or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and participate in operations of the water treatment plant, water supplies, and pumping facilities.
• Collect and process various water samples for laboratory analysis.
• Monitor daily chemical usage and lab procedures to ensure water quality.
• Meet with customers to address water quality issues.
• Perform light maintenance on equipment as required.
• Exercising functional supervision over water plant personnel.
