Job summary

Border States, located in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor II to lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring secure facilities and efficient deliveries. The role requires SAP proficiency, driver records maintenance, and strong safety leadership.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year business/trade degree with at least 3 years of supervisory warehouse experience, forklift familiarity, and solid Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year business/trade degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience in warehouse distribution preferred.
• Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and builds customer service through teamwork with Account Managers, CSR’s, City Desk, and will Call personnel.
• Arranges training and mentoring in Border States procedures, SAP transactions and safety for best operations practices.
• Responsible for the security and maintenance of the building and grounds so that the property is neat and safe within Border States and government standards.
• Responsible for the maintenance and safe operations of all warehouse equipment and vehicles in accordance with Border States, vendors, and government standards.
• Maintains current driver’s records to satisfy requirements and state/federal regulations.
• Ensures all drivers meet CDL requirements if they drive trucks above 26,000 lbs.
• Performs SAP functions to ensure warehouse and deliveries run efficiently and accurately.
• Leads inventory process activities and coordinates with internal/external stakeholders.
• Communicates with customers on orders, inventory, and deliveries; addresses issues.
• Leads daily safety meetings and updates and addresses concerns.
• May perform duties of Warehouse Associate or delivery drivers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
