Job summary

Standard Heating & Air Conditioning Inc in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Lead Warehouse Specialist to run daily warehouse operations, coordinate workload, ensure inventory accuracy, and supply field teams with parts and equipment. This is a hands-on, full-time, safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership in a warehouse setting and ability to coordinate workload.
• Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control is required.
• Forklift operation and safety awareness are essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish & communicate daily work priorities for the department.
• Partner with department manager to address workload and issues.
• Receiving deliveries & equipment into stock.
• Operate sit-down forklift, pallet jack, lifts and other equipment.
• Provide high level internal/external customer service.
• Pull stock, stage for delivery and installations.
• Perform physical inventory and maintain records.
• Model and reinforce safety policies and safe handling practices.
• Ensure cleanliness and order of the department.
• General building and grounds maintenance.
• Occasional driving/deliveries to jobsites or vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

We have an opening for a Lead Warehouse Specialist. This hands‑on, full‑time position is ideal for someone who wants to work in an active, collaborative, and professional environment. You will lead the daily operation of Standard Heating’s warehouse to include coordinating workload, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring our field teams have the equipment, parts, and supplies to serve our customers. This is a safety‑sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish & communicate daily work priorities for the department.


• Partner with department manager to address workload, departmental needs & issues as they arise.


• Receiving deliveries & equipment & put into stock.


• Operate sit‑down forklift, pallet jack, lifts & other powered equipment to fulfill duties.


• Provide high level customer service to internal customers & external vendors.


• Pull equipment from stock & stage for deliveries & installations.


• Perform physical inventory of products/supplies & maintain related records.


• Model & reinforce company safety policies & safe material‑handling practices.


• Ensure departmental cleanliness & order.


• General building & grounds maintenance.


• Equipment cutdown for recycling.


• Occasional driving/deliveries of parts & equipment to/from jobsites or vendors.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgement, organization & problem‑solving skills.


• Strong customer service & communication skills.


• 2 years previous warehouse experience to include demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate workload of others.


• Ability to work independently, lead collaboratively, & manage competing demands.


• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, & ability to obtain DOT certification


• Ability to use common power tools & material handling equipment such as pallet jack & forklift.


• High school diploma or equivalent required.
