Lassonde-1 is seeking a Lead, Warehouse - Repack for the Hendersonville, NC location. The role oversees the Repack assembly team, coordinates with the supervisor on weekly scheduling, and guides temporary staff through daily output and safety processes.

The Lead runs new packaging equipment, troubleshoots early issues, and ensures cleaning SOPs are followed to keep equipment in proper running condition.

Lead, Warehouse -Repack Team 2nd shift

FULL TIME Hendersonville, NC, US

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead, Warehouse - Repack reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. The Repack lead is responsible for the oversight of tasks conducted by the Repack assembly team. The Lead coordinates with the supervisor on the weekly Repack schedule and they help coordinate temporary employees, overseeing their output. The Repack Lead has responsibility for running the new packaging equipment, being the first line of troubleshooting and most importantly keeping the new equipment clean, with a strict daily requirement of cleaning SOP.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)

Responsibilities include:

• Operate forklift to stack and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials
• Operate forklift to bring the repack team WIP for assembling.
• Maintain tag integrity. Backflushing old tags and creating new tags. Key to maintaining accurate inventory management.
• Track the daily number of temps.
• Multi-task between Repack assemblies, destruction of old product, dumping back juice to be reused.
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Hold temporaries accountable for safety and workflow.
• Available to work some weekends and overtime.
• Work well as a team with other warehouse operators, production, and maintenance.
• Coordinate temporaries in appropriate workstations on the new packaging system.
• Learn how to run and troubleshoot issues with the new equipment.
• Complete the daily cleaning SOP's. Key to proper running state for the new equipment.
• Awareness of and adherence to all safety requirements.
• Strict adherence to all lock-out tag-out requirements.
• Train new employees that are hired in the work area assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Six months experience in a manufacturing environment operating forklifts.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
• Must have excellent time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical manufacturing setting.

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
