Job summary

VSP Vision Care in Melville, NY is seeking a warehouse picker to support key account orders. Under general supervision, you will pick frames, label, package, and verify accuracy against pick tickets, ensuring fast, accurate fulfillment.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work overtime including weekends. Experience with SAP or similar systems and proficiency with Excel/Word are a plus; the team values accuracy, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

One to two years of general warehouse experience.
Previous distribution center or shipping experience preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Able to operate a wave machine.
Must be able to prioritize work.
Detail-oriented and accurate; able to multitask.
Work accurately and safely under pressure.
Ability to lift boxes up to 75 lbs.
Overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

Pick, label, package and check key account orders promptly.
Select frames and cases from a pick ticket detailing quantity, style, size, color, and locations.
Package and label orders, removing frame cards, placing frames in cases, and labeling bags.
Verify orders against pick tickets for style, size, color and quantity.
Check cases to ensure correct items were pulled.
Create bar codes and labels and affix to boxes as directed.
Request merchandise to fill orders to maximum fill rate.
Communicate any work issues to the Assistant Supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
