Job summary

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to join a safety-conscious team in Clyde, OH. You will lead daily receiving and shipping activities, supervise a small group, and help ensure productivity targets are met.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, inventory management, daily logs, and using proprietary software. Forklift operations, data entry, and cross-shift communication are key components of the role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the warehouse team to receive & ship to our customer
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Executes & provides process & project visibility to Operations Supervisor
• Training associates
• Leads & complies with Safety and Well Being efforts on assigned shift
• Stacks cardboard boxes and pallets
• Move materials within the warehouse
• Manage Inventory
• Complete daily logs
• Communicate with associates from other shifts
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department
• Uses computer to enter records
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
