Job summary

Crawford Electric Supply in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse functions, pick, pack, ship orders, and ensure safety compliance. The role requires ability to operate PIT equipment and manage inventory, with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Six months or more related experience and/or education.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• PIT proficiency, reach truck, order picker, sit down propane. Current certification a plus.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures in English.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
• Verify and package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stage product for loading and load onto truck.
• Unload materials from truck and move to storage areas.
• Operate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT): stand up, reach truck, order picker and sit-down forklift.
• Complete daily PIT logs.
• Keep work areas clean and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual in English
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Strong communication skills
• Verify and package product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
• Stage product for loading
• Load product onto truck
• Unload materials from truck
• Move materials to warehouse for storage
• Move waste to dumpsters
• Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged material is accepted in
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT). Stand up, reach truck, order picker and sit down propane fork lift
• Complete daily logs for PIT
• Clean and maintain work areas
• Other duties assigned
