Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a versatile Lead Warehouse Associate in Washington. The role oversees daily pick/pack operations, shipping, and inventory control, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the warehouse.

You will mentor team members, train new staff, and uphold safety standards while maintaining organized, compliant operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs.
• A background in Warehouse operations and logistics is helpful.
• General digital literacy for data entry.
• Forklift Operator experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead associates through the daily pick and pack process according to SOPs.
• Direct and perform warehousing duties such as loading, checking, order picking, and shipping.
• Supervise outbound shipments and verify accuracy against picking documents.
• Assist in training and mentoring associates.
• Receive, verify, stage and stock incoming material.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe warehouse and enforce PPE rules.
• May perform driver duties as needed.

If you have familiarity and experience with warehousing, shipping and receiving, coupled with a dedication to phenomenal customer service, this is the position for you!

Hours are between the hours of Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (8-hour shift)

Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the crucial job functions described below:

• Effectively lead associates through the daily pick and pack process according to company standard operating procedures
• Direct and perform a variety of warehousing duties such as loading, checking, order picking, and shipping
• Supervise and verify the accuracy of outbound shipments by checking items and quantities against picking documents
• Assist in training, mentoring and development of associates
• Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
• Responsible for ensuring warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to acquire a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
• A background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is helpful
• Have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent education
• Sense of teamwork, ownership, and attention to detail in your work
• 2-3 years experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred
• RF scanning experience preferred; ability to facilitate change within the organization in a positive manner
• Self-starter with ability to learn our systems quickly
• Proven understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• General digital literacy for basic data entry
• Forklift Operator experience required

Pay Range

$24.54 - $39.28

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
