Job summary

Wesco is hiring a Lead Associate in Operations for our distribution facility. You will support the Supervisor by directing a team of warehouse associates and managing receiving, picking, packing, and shipping tasks, including wire cutting.

You will monitor workflow, report metrics to management, and participate in daily safety walks. A background in warehouse operations and forklift experience is required to ensure accurate, timely shipments.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• 3 years of warehouse operations experience required.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Senior Warehouse Associate or similar.
• forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned tasks as needed by the Supervisor.
• Direct receiving, picking, packing, shipping and wire cutting activities.
• Monitor workflow metrics and coordinate reporting to management.
• Conduct daily safety walks and communicate findings to Supervisors.
• Review complex shipments and staged goods prior to shipping for quality.
• Update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.

A Day in The Life of a Lead Associate

As a Lead Associate in Operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor in directing the work of other associates and job assignments. You will also be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and wire cutting.
