Job summary

Eskaton is seeking a dedicated team member to supervise wait staff and maintain a welcoming dining area for residents and guests. You will take orders, ensure accurate service, and support onboarding and daily administrative tasks in a collaborative, compassionate environment.

Starting pay ranges from $18.15 to $21.00 per hour. Eskaton emphasizes wellbeing, diversification, and a strong sense of belonging across its California communities.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises wait staff.
• Bus and reset tables; keep dining area clean and ready for the next service.

• Support the Food Service Director with administrative tasks.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in food services; ensure proper staffing.
• Monitor opening/closing duties and report issues promptly.

Essential Job Functions:

• Directly supervises wait staff.
• Busses and resets tables as needed.Ensures dining room is clean and reset to standard prior to next meal.
• Takes meal orders in an accurate and courteous manner, providing prompt service to fill orders and requests.
• Assists in the orientation of all new employees including: on-the-job training, adherence to policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
• Assists the Food Service Director in other administrative activities as directed by Management.
• Maintains standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the food services department. Ensures that appropriate levels of coverage are maintained at all times. Informs supervisor of staffing/scheduling needs.
• Monitors and ensures completion wait staff opening and closing duties.
• Keeps supervisor and cook(s) informed of questions, comments and/or complaints.Diligently works to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Familiar with food service disaster plan.

Starting pay ranges from $18.15 per hour - $21.00 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

Training and Experience:
A minimum of one (1)yearwork experience in food service operations.
California Food Handler.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to understand and work harmoniously with residents,staffand healthcare professionals.Ability tomaintainhigh professional and ethical standards.Computerknowledge is helpful but notrequired.

Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
