Job Summary:

Title: Lead, Voice & Channel Operations (Commercial Partnerships)

Reports to: VP, Digital Marketing & Strategy

Location: New York, NY (In-office, 5 days a week)

The Role:

Roc Nation is looking for a dynamic Lead, Voice & Channel Operations to serve as the daily digital heartbeat for our Commercial Partnerships. This position is responsible for executing across all relevant handles, bringing strategies to life through community management, real-time cultural engagement, and rapid-fire content execution. Where the Digital Strategist plans the route, you drive the car. The ideal candidate is chronically online, deeply plugged into internet culture, and able to context-switch fluidly between vastly different brand identities.

You will collaborate closely with the Digital Strategist and the broader Commercial Partnerships team, serving as the chief architect of the "Tone & Voice" for diverse brands ranging from luxury nightlife to personal wellness products. This role owns a portfolio of brand relationships and contributes directly to achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Tone & Voice Architecture: Establishes, refines, and embodies the unique brand voice for every project in the Commercial Partnerships portfolio. Seamlessly code-switches between different brand personas


• Always-On Channel Management: Oversees the day-to-day operations and publishing schedule across all brand handles. Ensures a consistent, high-quality, and highly responsive digital presence


• Real-Time Cultural Engagement: Monitors the timeline constantly. Identifies viral trends, cultural moments, and breaking conversations, inserting our brands into the zeitgeist authentically and rapidly


• Execution & Publishing: Brings the campaign strategy to life. Drafts elite copy, formats posts natively for specific platforms, and manages the tactical rollout of digital assets


• Community Building: Actively engages with followers, brand loyalists, influencers, and peers to foster highly active and passionate digital communities


• Crisis & Reputation Management: Acts as the first line of defense for brand reputation online, exercising impeccable judgment in high-pressure, fast-moving situations


• Lightweight Editing & Formatting: Acts as a nimble, hands-on creator capable of independently editing, resizing, and reformatting photo and video assets (e.g., cutting down clips for Reels/TikTok, resizing graphics for IG Stories) to fit native platform specs without bottlenecking the broader creative team


• Audio Strategy Execution: Brings the overarching audio strategy to life by seamlessly integrating approved Roc Nation catalog tracks and trending commercial sounds into daily short-form video content (TikTok, Reels), ensuring the audio aligns with the brand's voice, native platform trends, and maximizes algorithmic reach

Cross-Functional Synergy & Collaboration

• Digital Strategy: Partners daily with the strategic counterpart to convert overarching campaign blueprints into real-time content calendars, community management tactics, and flawless platform-native execution


• Creative & Content Production: Collaborates with designers, video editors, and production teams to execute fast-turnaround visual assets, memes, and short-form video cutdowns that align perfectly with each brand's aesthetic


• Promotions Team: Coordinates with the internal promotions division to sync organic publishing with paid media pushes, deploy aligned CRM/email campaigns, and actively engage with influencer and creator partners online


• Internal Brand Managers: Syncs directly with dedicated brand heads (e.g., for The 40/40 Club, Keys Soulcare, Planes Apparel) to ensure the assigned voice, copy style, and community interactions faithfully reflect each entity's core identity


• Sales & Commercial Partnerships: Ensures all brand partner tagged posts, sponsored mentions, trackable links, and dedicated deliverables are published accurately and on schedule to fulfill partnership agreements


• PR & Communications: Coordinates rapid-fire approvals for jumping on fast-moving cultural moments or breaking news, and serves as the first line of defense for brand safety and crisis escalation;


• Web & E-Commerce Support: Manages link-in-bio setups and landing pages to ensure a frictionless consumer journey from social discovery to final conversion


• Usage Rights: Ensures clearances for audio and music usage in social posts and compliance with FTC disclosure guidelines for partnered/influencer content


• Talent & Artist Relations: Coordinates collaborative posts, cross-promotions, and digital engagement with Roc Nation talent and client handles to maximize visibility across the broader Roc Nation ecosystem

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Supports special projects, including social impact initiatives and artist and company-owned (O&O) events


• Assists with Roc Nation O&O and artist-led activations and experiences


• Asset management, including original content, partner pitch materials, decks, and partnership assets


• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in social media management, community management, or digital copywriting for highly visible brands or talent;


• Deep expertise in social media publishing tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson, Tubular, Brandwatch) and native platform insights


• An absolute master of copywriting, with the ability to write a viral thread, an inspiring Instagram caption, and an engaging TikTok hook;


• Chronically online and deeply plugged into internet culture, sports, music, and fashion trends


• High adaptability with the ability to context-switch between vastly different brand identities within the same hour;


• Willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends) as needed to respond to live events, pop culture moments, and 24/7 internet cycles


• Willingness to travel up to 15-20%


• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple brand calendars simultaneously without missing a beat


• Experience using CRM or productivity tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana, Monday.com)


• Collaborative approach with ability to work cross-functionally

The expected compensation for this position is:

$76,000.00 USD - $95,000.00 USD
