Job summary

NCVMA's Animal Care Clinic in Bemidji seeks a Managing Veterinarian to lead a growing practice. This on-site role offers a generous signing bonus, relocation assistance, and a dynamic team focused on high-quality veterinary medicine and compassionate care.

The successful candidate will have a DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited school, hold state licensure, and be eligible for DEA/BNDD. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution is required.
• Appropriate state veterinary licensure is required.
• Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients is expected.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to diagnose diseases or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and interpret results.
• Advise owners on preventive care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide guidance on pet end-of-life care.
