Job description

Neighborhood Veterinary Centers | Kemah, Texas

Lead a team. Serve the community. Build something that matters.

Neighborhood Veterinary Centers is looking for a Lead Veterinarian or Partner Veterinarian for the Kemah area.

This is not a standard veterinarian role. This is an opportunity for a doctor who wants to lead a team, influence culture, drive standards, serve the community well, and help build a hospital the right way.

We are looking for someone who understands that leadership is not just about medicine. It is about people. It is about setting the tone. It is about building trust with your team, your clients, and the community you serve. It is about creating an environment where people are supported, developed, and equipped to do great work.

Why NVC

Neighborhood Veterinary Centers is family owned and operated. That matters.

Culture is not just something we talk about. It is something we are responsible for. That falls on us as leaders. We believe our teams should be fully supported and have what they need to succeed, grow, and thrive. That means ensuring our teams have the people, support, and resources they need to succeed.

We believe strong hospitals are built by strong teams, and strong teams are built by leaders who are present, invested, and committed to doing things the right way.

At NVC, you are not stepping into a system where you are left on your own or buried in corporate noise. You are stepping into an organization that believes in backing its people, supporting its leaders, and building hospitals where great medicine and strong culture go together.

You will have full autonomy to lead, make decisions, and build something your way with the support and resources behind you to do it right.

What This Role Looks Like

As a Lead DVM or Partner Veterinarian, you would play a major role in leading the hospital forward.

This includes:

  • Leading and developing the veterinary team
  • Helping shape and protect hospital culture
  • Setting the standard for medical quality and client care
  • Mentoring doctors and support staff
  • Partnering with leadership to strengthen operations, team performance, and long-term growth
  • Serving the community well by helping build a hospital that clients trust and teams are proud to be part of
  • Having the autonomy to lead, make decisions, and build something your way

This role is for someone who wants to take ownership, lead from the front, and make a real impact.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a veterinarian who:

  • Wants to lead a team, not just work a schedule
  • Understands that culture, standards, accountability, and support all matter
  • Wants to serve the people, pets, and community at a high level
  • Can mentor, develop, and bring out the best in others
  • Is committed to quality medicine and strong leadership
  • Wants the autonomy to build, lead, and grow something the right way
  • Wants to help build something long term
  • Has the maturity, presence, and judgment to lead well

This role can offer a strong compensation package with the potential for bonus structure and equity depending on the opportunity and the right fit. There is room for discussion and negotiation based on experience, leadership ability, and long-term vision. This would be in addition to all of the great benefits that we would have to offer!

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

A lot of roles talk about leadership. Very few actually give you the ability to lead in a meaningful way.

This opportunity does.

At Neighborhood Veterinary Centers, you have the chance to help lead a hospital, strengthen a team, impact a community, and build something you can be proud of with the autonomy to do it the right way. For the right doctor, this is also a partnership opportunity.

If you are looking for a role where your leadership matters, your voice carries weight, and you have the freedom to build something your way, we should talk.
