Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians seeks a Senior Vascular Sonographer to perform high-skill vascular ultrasound exams, including mesenteric and renal arteries, and to mentor staff. The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and collaboration with physicians across ARDMS scope of practice.

You will contribute to lab accreditation, participate in quality improvement, and support education for students and trainees. Travel to satellite sites may be needed; formal leadership is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited (CAAHEP) ultrasound program (Associate or Bachelor) or equivalent education and experience
• Current RVT and BCLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a vascular sonographer
• Vascular ultrasound experience including working knowledge of ultrasound equipment (imagers and physiological)
• Thorough knowledge of, and ability toConsistent performance of high skill level exams (mesenteric and renal arteries) that correlate with other modalities (CT, angiography, surgery)
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and continuous learning through willingness to attend and participate at conferences.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic vascular examinations using various modes and techniques to evaluate and record vascular data
• Lead and mentor other sonographers and physicians; provide education and training to staff
• Assist with workflow, scheduling, and rescheduling of exams; coordinate with physicians
• Support lab accreditation processes and quality improvement efforts
• Present at OSU annual conference to share expertise and advance vascular sonography
