Job summary

Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia seeks a Gymnastics Head Coach for a winter season from November to February. This part-time role involves overseeing the varsity gymnastics program, supervising and guiding assistant coaches, and coordinating with the athletic department to ensure student-athlete success and safety.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at high school or college level.
• CPR and First Aid training completed or in progress.
• Preference for a Virginia Teaching License or classified employee background.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining high academic standards for student athletes.
• Assist athletic director and principal in hiring/retention of assistants.
• Direct, supervise and evaluate all assistant coaches.
• Coordinate with athletic director on insurance coverage for athletes.
• Work with head coaches to operate a balanced program.
• Foster values of athletics, sportsmanship and pride in school and community.
• Direct training, conditioning and performance of varsity team; supervise assistants.
• Be present at varsity contests and supervise JV/Freshman contests when possible.
• Advise on schedules, officials, equipment, and facility needs.
