Job summary

Safety-Kleen Buffalo, NY is seeking a Utility Driver/Driver Lead to provide primary route coverage for the district and support other districts as needed. The role involves driving a Class B Tanker Truck, Box Trucks, or Lube Delivery Truck to collect waste oil while ensuring safety and service quality.

Responsibilities include mentoring drivers, preparing loads for shipment, and covering routes as needed. Strong safety record, travel willingness, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize Health and Safety in all tasks and follow safety practices.
• Provide safe, friendly, on-time, high-quality customer service.
• Drive a Class B Tanker Truck, Box Trucks or Lube Delivery Truck to collect waste oil.
• Mentor and train other drivers on the job responsibilities.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to Oil Terminals.
• Serve as backup driver to cover routes when needed.
• Ensure waste/oil are stored safely and properly.
• Visit and service 8+ customers per day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Provide safe. friendly, on time, quality customer service.
• Will be responsible for picking up waste oil at customer locations driving a Class B Tanker Truck, Box Trucks and or Lube Delivery Truck.
• Will be responsible for mentoring and training other drivers.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to Oil Terminals.
• Will serve as backup driver to cover routes when needed.
• Ensure waste / oil is stored in safe and proper manner.
• Visit and service 8+ customers per day.

QUALIFICATIONS

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

• Class B CDL required.
• Class A CDL Strongly Preferred.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements upon hire.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to train and mentor on job responsibilities.
• Previous route service driving experience preferred.
