The role leads utility coordination for roadway design projects from planning through construction support, coordinating with utility owners and stakeholders to minimize schedule and budget risks. Responsibilities include establishing coordination cadence, resolving conflicts, facilitating utility meetings, and documenting decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of post-education experience in a related management role within the industry.
• 5+ years coordinating utility adjustments/relocations on transportation or civil projects.
• Constructability and coordination of staging, phasing, and temporary works for relocations.
• Strong roadway plan development knowledge to identify conflicts and drive resolution.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Project, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end utility coordination for roadway projects from planning through construction.
• Identify conflicts between roadway improvements and existing utilities; drive solutions with teams and owners.
• Plan and facilitate utility meetings; document decisions, actions, and commitments.
• Coordinate with survey/SUE and design disciplines to improve data quality and reduce conflicts.
• Support development of utility scopes, estimates, schedules, and billing documentation.
• Coordinate reimbursement discussions and documentation with client/agency and utility owners.
• Review utility work plans, relocation schedules, ROW status, and provisions for compatibility with delivery.
• Provide constructability input for staging, sequencing, and temporary/permanent installations.
• Maintain a utility risk register and drive mitigation plans with owners.
• Coordinate pre-construction activities for relocations and support issue resolution during construction.
• Serve as liaison among client/agency, designers, contractors, and utility owners.
• Maintain utility contact lists, coordination plans, agendas, minutes, and logs.
• Draft and execute utility agreements and supporting estimates/billing documentation.
• Adhere to company Code of Conduct and policies; exercise ethical decision-making.
