Job summary

Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP/NP/PA) to support the Urology Department.

The role involves inpatient and outpatient management, consultations, and co-management of surgical patients. You will work under physician supervision and with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of APP experience, 2+ years in Urology, and Florida APRN/PA licensure with current BLS.

Qualifications

• Five years of Advance Practice Provider experience.
• Two years of Urology experience.
• Nurse Practitioner license (FL) and national advanced certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages patients with high independence in care provision across the continuum.
• Assesses patient health status via history, exam, and diagnostics.
• Develops diagnosis and collaborates on treatment plans with the team.
• Surgical wound closure, debridement, and dressing tasks.
• Scrubs with the collaborating surgeon in the operating room.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per credentialing.
• Implements management based on labs and assessments.
• Identifies and resolves patient care issues for improved outcomes.
• Dictates and documents patient care timely and accurately.
• Performs patient education and preventive health services.
• Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and department call rotations.
• Prescribes medications as appropriate.
• Contributes to quality initiatives and IRB-approved research.
