Job summary

Metric Geo is partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis area to recruit an experienced Utility Foreman. The role oversees underground utility crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The candidate will lead crews installing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems, coordinate resources, and read construction plans. A strong safety mindset and proven foreman or lead experience are essential for success in

Qualifications

5+ years of underground utility construction experience.
Foreman or crew leadership experience required.
Ability to read construction drawings, grade stakes, and utility plans.
Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise utility crews installing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage.
Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
Read and interpret construction plans, utility profiles, and grade stakes.
Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and per project specifications.
Operate and oversee heavy equipment as required to support field operations.
Communicate progress and needs with Superintendents and Project Managers.
Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining productivity and quality.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA/compliance.
Train and mentor crew members to develop performance.
