Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to coordinate shift operations and supervise staff in the Ultrasound department. You will demonstrate competency in performing ultrasound exams, position patients and equipment, and ensure high-quality recordings for interpretation.

Qualifications include RDMS/ARRT certification within 90 days of hire, completion of an accredited ultrasound program, BCLS, vascular certification, and proficiency with PACS transmission.

Qualifications

  • RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain.
  • Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Vascular certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff.
  • Positions patient and equipment and produce an appropriate recording.
  • The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.
