Firestorm Labs is seeking a UAS Flight Test Pilot to join our Flight Test Team in San Diego. You’ll support flight operations across the UAV lifecycle, from build validation to field deployment and customer demonstrations, piloting UAVs and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, collaborates with engineering, flight operations, and integration teams, and helps shape how modular UAVs perform in

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years piloting fixed-wing UAS including autonomous or remotely piloted systems.
• 2+ years RPIC experience and FAA Part 107 certification.
• US citizenship due to ITAR and security clearance requirements.
• Experience with flight documentation and post-flight reports.

Responsibilities

• Pilot fixed-wing UAS for developmental testing, training, and live demos.
• Conduct FCFs on new aircraft and verify flight readiness.
• Plan and execute flight test events, logistics, and resources.
• Train RPICs and Safety Pilots on procedures and safety.
• Develop training materials, SOPs, and flight manuals.
• Coordinate with test ranges and regulatory bodies for approvals.
• Analyze test data and provide feedback to engineering teams.
