The Goddard School of Peoria, AZ is seeking experienced Lead Teachers for our Twos and Bridge programs. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, and uses our proprietary Wonder of Learning curriculum to provide a developmentally appropriate, engaging learning environment.

Lead teachers will deliver age-appropriate lessons, maintain a safe, inclusive classroom, communicate with families, and collaborate with a supportive team to nurture children’s growth and confidence every day.

Formación

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in early childhood education completed or in progress.
• CDA credential completed or in progress.
• 1-2 years minimum of previous experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty.

Responsabilidades

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open, effective communication with families about progress and activities.
• Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers to foster teamwork.
• Model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth.

Educación

The Goddard School® of Peoria, AZ (8348 W. Deer Valley Road) is seeking experienced Lead Teachers for our growing Twos and Bridge (older twos/young threes) programs. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage and support each child’s growth
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Health and Safety: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being
• Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Behavior Guidance: Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in early childhood education completed or in progress
• Child Development Associate (CDA) completed or in progress
• 1-2 years minimum of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
