The Goddard School – State Bridge Road in Alpharetta, GA is hiring a Lead Teacher to join our team. We’re looking for an energetic, caring educator who loves helping children learn, grow, and feel confident.

This role emphasizes a warm classroom, developmentally appropriate activities through Wonder of Learning curriculum, strong relationships with families, and collaboration with assistants and leadership. A high school diploma or higher and ECE credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; CDA/Associate or Bachelor’s in ECE preferred.
• Experience with early childhood education setting is valued.
• Ability to engage and support young children throughout the day.

• Build strong relationships with children and families
• Encourage children's curiosity, independence, creativity, and confidence
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive classroom management
• Communicate with families about their child's day, development, and accomplishments
• Observe children's interests and use them to create meaningful learning experiences
• Work closely with Assistant Teachers, Resource Teachers, and school leadership
• Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and supervision
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• 1–2 years of childcare or preschool experience preferred
• Ability to meet Georgia Bright from the Start requirements and successfully complete required background checks
• Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
