Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Cable Product Engineer in Etters, PA. You will own Twin-Ax cable products, ensure mechanical and electrical integrity, and drive improvements from concept to high-volume manufacturing.

You will lead design validation, work with cross-functional teams, and analyze data with Excel/Matlab to optimize performance and manufacturability. Travel ~10% domestically and internationally may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in interconnects, high-speed cables, or electronic product design for manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD (Pro/E/Creo), FEA tools, and mechanical analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience using Excel, Minitab, Matlab/Octave, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical owner for Twin-Ax cable assemblies, ensuring product quality and reliability.
• Maintain and manage product documentation, specs, test plans, and qualification records.
• Lead tolerance analysis, FEA, material evaluations, and failure analysis for components.
• Plan Phase Gate/NPI activities including design, prototype builds, validation testing, and pilot production.
• Collaborate with Signals Integrity team to optimize performance and reliability.
