Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Turbine Design Engineer in Phoenix to drive design, development, and testing of turbine blades and vanes. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with global teams, and lead proposals for growth engines while advancing AI-augmented CFD and multi-physics analysis.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical/aerospace engineering, 10+ years in turbine design with a PhD preferred, and expertise in thermal/fluid sciences and STARCCM+.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of thermal/fluid sciences applied to turbine design.
• Proficient with CFD/HT analysis tools such as STARCCM+.
• Understanding of turbine manufacturing and casting processes.
• Experience developing AI models for physics-based simulation and multi-physics modeling.
• Strong leadership demonstrated in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to collaborate across global time zones and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline tasks for design, development, and testing of turbine blades and vanes.
• Conceptualize cooling schemes to reduce coolant flow while ensuring durability.
• Drive design system improvements, reduce cycle time and cost.
• Lead engine test activities for turbine components validation and qualification.
• Develop Physics-AI and surrogate models to accelerate CFD and thermal analysis workflows.
• Coordinate with project engineers and product chiefs to support growth engines.
