Job summary

University of New Hampshire seeks an Assistant Director for Advocacy to lead trauma‑informed advocacy services for students, faculty and staff across UNH campuses. The role supervises the Survivor Advocate and directs the Direct Services team, ensuring policy compliance and data reporting to meet NH standards and funder requirements.

The position requires evening/weekend work and collaboration with campus partners to deliver high‑quality, confidential support and crisis counseling to survivors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, criminal justice or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in interpersonal violence response, trauma‑informed care, or related field, preferably on a campus.
• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or other clinical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and quality improvement of advocacy services for UNH community members.
• Supervise Survivor Advocate and Direct Services team; ensure ethical, legal practices.
• Oversee data entry, reporting, and database management to meet funding standards.
• Coordinate with NH coalition and state partners; participate in statewide meetings.
• Provide one‑on‑one, remote and in‑person advocacy to students, faculty and staff.
