Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Lead Consultant/Transportation Planner for the Atlanta office to lead transportation planning projects, manage contracts, mentor staff, and deliver high-quality planning products to clients.

Candidates should have Georgia planning experience, lead studies including data collection, analysis, and reporting, and present findings to clients and stakeholders. Travel as needed; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Engineering or related discipline.
• 7-10 years of progressively responsible relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a team, work cross-functionally and think critically and strategically.
• Familiarity with Georgia transportation planning issues.
• Familiarity with GDOT and MARTA planning procedures.
• Ability to effectively present and communicate ideas orally and in written form.
• Critical, strategic and creative thinking skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate with individuals and teams.
• Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GIS).
• Ability to gather and analyze data critically and develop supporting information and reports.
• Understanding of project administration and management.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ethical decision-making and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation planning projects and manage contracts.
