Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Transportation Data Specialist to join the Washington, DC office or nearby New York area. The candidate will lead data-driven transportation analyses, build geospatial visuals with ArcGIS, and develop models for safety and policy evaluation while collaborating with clients and senior staff.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in transportation consulting, GIS, statistical methods, and scripting in SAS/Python/R, with experience delivering high-quality, actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering or planning.
• 5+ years of transportation consulting experience.
• Experience with US DOT, TRB, state DOTs, MPOs or other public sector transportation agencies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with GIS and data visualization.
• Experience with scripting languages such as SAS, Python, or R.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete projects in the Washington, DC office.
• Conduct transportation data analysis for freight and passenger flows.
• Perform geospatial analysis using ArcGIS tools and apps.
• Develop and validate transportation models for safety and policy analysis.
• Create interactive dashboards in Tableau/Power BI for stakeholders.
• Assist with before-and-after studies and policy evaluations.
