Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a Senior Construction Inspector to apply standard inspection procedures for structural quality, safety, and conformance to plans in Roanoke, VA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of roadway construction inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and site layouts to ensure safety and compliance.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify elevations of structures.
• Coordinate and supervise inspection activities with contractor teams.
• Assign and manage inspection staff across project phases.
• Draft project correspondence and facilitate meetings.
• Gather and maintain record documents.
• Take field notes and computations.
• Interact with public and agencies to respond to inquiries.
