Job summary

My City Transportation in Washington state seeks a senior leader to serve as Lead Transit Civil Engineering Project Manager. Based in Seattle or Tacoma, you will guide planning, design, and delivery of complex transit infrastructure, leading multidisciplinary teams and building client relationships.

You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules, mentor engineers, and support proposals and business development with public agencies. A PE license and Civil Engineering background are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years of transportation/civil engineering experience.
• Active Washington State PE license.
• Experience managing transit or public infrastructure projects.
• Strong PM, leadership, and client-facing skills.

Lead Transit Civil Engineering Project Manager

$140,000-$180,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Our client in WA is seeking an experienced Lead Transit Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex transportation and transit infrastructure projects. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage multidisciplinary teams, build client relationships, and drive business growth with public agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead transportation and transit engineering projects from planning through construction.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Mentor engineering teams and oversee project delivery.
• Prepare proposals and support business development efforts.
• Coordinate with public agencies, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of transportation/civil engineering experience.
• Active Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience managing transit or public infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management, leadership, and client-facing experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (MicroStation is a plus).

• Sound Transit.
• King County Metro.
• Pierce Transit.
• Public Works or DOT projects.
