Job summary

Colonial Group seeks an experienced technician to perform inspections and maintenance, diagnosis and repair, overhauling and servicing of transit vehicle brake‑related systems.

Candidate should have a minimum of six years in the heavy‑duty vehicle field, including at least four years with diesel engines and/or powertrain technology; must meet license and certification requirements and pass exams as required by authorities.

Qualifications

• Must understand troubleshooting across diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.
• Ability to read technical publications and schematics and apply mechanics principles to transit repairs.
• Must be familiar with current safety equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain transit vehicle brake-related systems.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, driveline, electrical, hydraulic, brake and air systems.
• Overhaul and service brake-related components and subsystems.
