Job summary

Balance Staffing - San Jose is seeking a Lead Transformer Final Assembly Technician to lead tanking, final assembly, and vacuum oil filling operations for liquid-filled distribution transformers. The role supports active parts preparation, component installation, and readiness for inspection and downstream production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing with 3+ years in transformer final assembly, tanking, and oil filling, and will contribute to ramp-up efforts, process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or assembly environment.
• 3+ years of experience in liquid-filled transformer manufacturing, final assembly, tanking, oil.

Responsibilities

• Lead tanking and final assembly operations for liquid-filled distribution transformers.
• Operate and support vacuum oil filling equipment and related final assembly steps.
• Inspect components and assemblies for conformance and quality throughout the build process.
• Handle material staging and equipment setup to maintain efficient workflow and traceability.
• Support training and onboarding of new operators during ramp-up and share best practices.
