Job summary
Goldbelt Incorporated in Alaska seeks a seasoned supervisor to oversee all phases of tramway maintenance and perform journeyman level electrical and/or mechanical work. Under the Director of Tram Ops & Facilities Manager, you will manage staffing, training, preventive maintenance, safety programs, and adherence to ANSI B-77 and applicable codes while ensuring reliable public transport.
Must ensure on-call coverage during operating seasons and coordinate with contractors.
Qualifications
- Five+ years in aerial tramway/ski lift ops and maintenance, including electrical controls and hydraulics
- One year lead/supervisory experience with scheduling and training
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certificates
- Current Rope access and/or Fall Protection certificate
- Experience with state/local operational codes and manufacturer specs
Responsibilities
- Supervise all phases of tramway maintenance and ensure safe operation
- Ensure lift is operational during scheduled hours and maintenance per codes
- Manage staff assignments, training, and on-call coverage
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs
- Oversee safety measures and emergency evacuation procedures
- Coordinate with contractors and monitor quality of work
