Job summary

Werner Enterprises seeks a Tractor Mechanic to diagnose and repair all diesel tractor systems, including engine, transmission, axles, suspension, A/C, electrical, air brakes and fifth wheel. This role also supports supervision of lower-level Tractor Mechanics. The position is safety sensitive and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel tractor systems to component level.
• Ability to supervise lower-level Tractor Mechanics and coordinate work.

The main purpose of this position is to diagnose and repair all systems on a diesel tractor to include, but not limited to: engine, transmission, front axle, rear axle, suspension, air conditioning and heating, electrical, air brakes and 5th wheel systems. This position is also responsible for assisting in the supervision, management, and coordination of all lower level Tractor Mechanics. Due to the nature of the essential job functions of this role, this is a safety sensitive position.
