Job summary

XPEL, Inc. seeks a Principal Process Engineer to own TPU extrusion strategy, scale-up from lab to production, and build the standards, data systems, and teams needed to keep films clear, durable, and within tolerance.

You will lead cross-site collaborations, specify equipment, drive Lean Six Sigma improvements, mentor engineers, and partner with R&D and suppliers to deliver high-performance films.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related field with extensive process experience.
• Hands-on TPU film extrusion knowledge, optical-grade films preferred.
• Proven lab-to-production scale-up and data-driven troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Define extrusion process strategy and scale-up across internal, toll, and partner sites.
• Lead DOE-driven trials and technology transfer packages (process windows, CTQs, control plans).
• Lead cross-site investigations using 8D, DMAIC to reduce defects and variation.
• Set SPC Cp/Cpk targets and drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking.
