Qualifications

• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience (Required).
• Associate's degree or CDA required
• BS or BA degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred
• Meets all Kentucky state licensing requirements for early childhood staff
• Reliable and professional with consistent attendance
• Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and team membersMaintains composure and professionalism when addressing stressful situations or unexpected challenges
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to ensure child safety, facilitate programs, and respond to emergencies. Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to safely lift infants in and out of cribs and perform other caregiving duties
• Remains alert and engaged while supervising children at all times
• Meets all background check and fingerprinting requirements per Kentucky state licensing regulations
• Completes required pre‑service, onboarding, and annual training hours
• Adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Maintains a positive, team‑oriented attitude and commitment to The Gardner School’s mission and values
