Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Application Security Engineer - Threat Research to secure healthcare software at scale. You will embed security into development pipelines, lead incident responses, and mentor teams. The role emphasizes research, open collaboration, and advancing security across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

You will drive policy, architecture, and secure coding practices while coordinating with executives to align security with business goals in the Lincoln, NE region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience developing and deploying security technologies.
• 7+ years with one or more general-purpose programming/script languages.
• 5+ years of with Public Cloud, & Network Security.
• 5+ years with Docker, Kubernetes, Security-as-Code, and IaC.
• 5+ years implementing data protection measures and compliance.
• 5+ years designing and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.
• 5+ years performing vulnerability analysis and risk prioritization.
• 3+ years leading security initiatives from inception to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies across software development lifecycle.
• Lead security testing, vulnerability analysis, and remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business teams on secure practices.
• Drive strategic security roadmap and risk assessments.
